Call for PhD workshop Submissions

The IHRM Doctoral Workshop is designed for doctoral students at any stage of their research. Its purpose is to discuss various topics that early career academics encounter as they progress through academic life. The Workshop will include topics such as managing your PhD, publishing, building your academic career, and developing research networks and collaborations. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss your current research and get feedback from experienced academics and journal editors.
This is a full day workshop that will include sessions focused on doctoral students as well as sessions with established scholars who will share their advice, and opportunities for networking.

Submission period for PhD workshop:
Start: Tuesday, October 1, 2019
End:  Sunday, December 1, 2019 (23:59 CET) DEADLINE EXTENSION
New deadline for PhD workshop submission: Tuesday, December 10, 2019 (23:59 CET)

Your application should include:

  • Your current CV
  • A cover letter stating why you are interested in attending, and the topics you are most interested in discussing
  • A brief outline of your research, i.e. an ABSTRACT (1,000 words maximum).

In case your dossier has been accepted to the 16th International HRM Conference, you are asked to upload a FULL PAPER to discuss during our feedback session. The format of the submissions should follow the guidelines of the International Journal of Human Resource Management.

Submission period for full papers:
Start: Saturday, February 15, 2020
End:  Wednesday, May 1, 2020 (23:59 CET)

Since the number of participants is limited, the decision will be made based on the quality of the proposal and the student’s potential benefit from the PhD Workshop.
